Psychologist (B.C.) Independent Contractor (100% Virtual/Remote in B.C.) About us Deep Sea Psychology provides psychological services via telehealth across B.C. We are a busy private practice with a mission to improve collective and individual mental health through in-depth and integrative psychological services, education, research, and advocacy. Job Description Are you looking for the freedom to set your own hours, work from home, and determine your own caseload, all with the support of an established clinical practice and administrative support? This contracted position is a great way to earn income at your own pace. Psychologists provide telehealth services such as counselling, and assessment services, using technology such as Owl Practice, and Google G Suite software, with administrative, technological, and professional support. Psychologists build caseloads through Deep Sea Psychology's online advertising, marketing, and referral services. Psychologists set their own hours of availability, and maintain a reliable schedule. Suitable candidates must be registered members of a the College of Psychologists of British Columbia (CPBC), or working under the direct supervision of a CPBC registrant in good standing. Psychologists at Deep Sea Psychology may work from anywhere in B.C., according to their professional registration, and must have access to reliable internet, suitable technology and a professional and secure environment to work from. Qualifications Current membership as a Registered Psychologist in good standing with the College of Psychologists of British Columbia (CPBC) Relevant experience, education, and training in providing evidence-based treatments (e.g. counselling), and formal psychological assessments in the following areas: personality disorders, trauma, dissociative and stressor related disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, anxiety, and mood disorders Experience and competence working with gender and culturally diverse populations, LGBTQ2SIA+, and BIPOC clientele Experience with service provision through First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) an asset Experience and competence working with individual adults, couples and non monogamous relationships, families, adolescents and/or children is an asset Knowledge of appropriate community resources in your service area(s), and demonstrate a collaborative and integrative therapeutic approach Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to work with diverse clientele, and demonstrate cultural competency Competence with trauma-informed care and crisis intervention Evening and weekend availability is an asset Key Responsibilities Provide psychology services (e.g. counselling, consulting, and/or assessment) on a contracted basis within your defined scope of practice and areas of competency and interest Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation regarding client care and case management using Deep Sea Psychology’s Electronic Health Record System Consult and refer to other professionals and community services as necessary Submit Your Resume We would love to hear from you.
